Currently the top five most popular posts on this blog are all about unusual sexual practices. Obviously it’s not my fault for writing them in the first place. It’s no surprise that number one is about the perennially fascinating letters of James Joyce to his beloved Nora and her fundament. The other four are about the octopus dialogue from the famous Japanese print known as Dream of the Fisherman’s Wife (or Dream of the Fisherman’s Wifi, as one recent searcher’s glorious slip of the finger would have it); the sculptor and typographer Eric Gill taking the idea of the English being a nation of dog lovers much too literally; Robert Louis Stevenson in the closet with Mr. Hyde; and for the very kinky, a suggestion for amusing yourself one afternoon by having the aforementioned sexy letters about bumming read out by a robot voice.
When your wrist is tired, the blog also has Victoriana, Japanese oddities, occult stuff, and much more. Check out the categories from the menu at the top, or from the tag cloud over in the right sidebar.
